Schmidt, Alec Tyler, age 17, joined the Great Video Game in the sky on June 2, 2016. Alec was born on October 23, 1998 to his loving parents Robert and Sheila Schmidt in Dearborn, MI. Alec aka “Tiptoe” was an avid gamer who was recruited with Onslaught esports, a MLG team where he excelled professionally. He was a devoted MSU fan and loved fishing with his dad. Alec was a 2016 graduate of Pinckney High School.

Friends and family will remember Alec as a Good Friend, who would do anything for anyone. He was a social butterfly who could make anyone laugh with his sarcastic wit, while being one of the most selfless and caring people one would ever meet.

His smile was infectious and would light up the room. Alec and his wonderful hugs will forever be missed by friends and family leaving a void that will never be filled.

Alec is survived by many including his father Robert Schmidt (Pinckney), his beloved mother Sheila (Stanton) Schmidt (Jackson), older brother Jesse Schmidt (Pinckney), grandparents Diane Redli (Garden City), Richard (Donna) Stanton (Dunedin, FL), Elenor Schmidt (Linden), Aunt Jackie (Tim Roberts) Stanton (Westland), Uncle Michael (Suzanne) Schmidt (Durand), cousins Christine (Jeremy) Harrison, Michael (Christa) Schmidt, Aimee and Liberty Schmidt. He was predeceased by his grandfather Edward Schmidt.

“That SMILE” and memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him, especially his dear friends Sean, Austin, Jesse, Brandon and many more..

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the family.
