Allen Roy Zoellick, 64, of Buffalo Gap, SD, passed away May 25, 2020, at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Allen was born May 18, 1956, in Spring Grove, Illinois, to Herman and Helen (Etters) Zoellick.   He was born into a farming family and farmed for himself and at Lipske Dairy Farms until he was 36 years old.  In 1992, he began working for Resource Recovery, a Telecommunication Removal and Recyling Company where he learned to work on fiberoptics.  Kramer Inc. was his next career move where he worked off and on for a few years.   He started working for Spring Brook Construction in the early 2000’s where he was a heavy equipment operator until he retired last year to start a pheasant farm out on the range in South Dakota, with his loving wife, Carrie.   Allen and Carrie enjoyed fixing up their place in Buffalo Gap.  Allen’s personality was outgoing and he would help friends, neighbors, anyone, whether they asked for help or not.   Allen could build and fix most anything.  He was an avid bowler and joined many bowling leagues.  Allen had a passion for collecting International tractors and participating in tractor pulls with his boys and younger brother, Neal. In his younger years he was a member of the Badger State Pullers Association.

Allen was married and divorced twice before meeting the love of his life, Carrie.  His first marriage blessed him with three wonderful children, Jacob; Angie and Melvin.  Allen was loved by everyone and was the best friend or neighbor you could ask for.  Allen will truly be missed and was a great asset to his community.

Preceding Allen in death were his parents, siblings, Barbra; Vance and Jeffrey.

Allen is survived by his wife, Carrie of Buffalo Gap; siblings, Margaret; Herman; Herbert; Debbie; Nancy; Yvonne; Neal; Kathy; Lynda; Theresa; Lisa; Pamela; Valerie; Beth; Judith; Timothy; children, Jacob; Angie; Melvin; and grandchildren, Madison; Blake; Kaylee and Haven.
